A love of Gardens

Gardens are where life happens. Meals are shared outside. The seasons are felt, one after another, year by year. For us, gardens have always held a deep pull.

That pull began in childhood, watching our parents work in their gardens with patience and care. They grew plants from cuttings, picked up others at plant sales, and built something beautiful over years of quiet work. Those gardens shaped our earliest memories. The feeling never left us.

Working with living plants is unlike any other design work. It starts with a sketch on trace paper. It carries through to planting day. And it keeps going for years after, as a garden settles into its own rhythm. No other material works quite like this.

Every site brings its own conditions: its aspect and soil, its views, the way light moves through the day. Our role is to listen. To the site, and to the people who will live in it. And to shape a garden that belongs there. A garden that feels like it could only ever be there.
